We opened in 1996 and are located across from the surf at La Zurriola beach. We offer courses for all levels. We teach year round in several languages. La Zurriola is arguably the most consistent surf beach in the Bay of Biscay, and definitely the most spectacular! We have modern showers, changing rooms and lockers. Our emphasis is on progress, fun and safety.

With its spacious and modern facilities, passionate and dedicated teachers, Zurriola Surf Eskola serves to be a leading surf school in teaching. It is the first surf, bodyboard and physical activities school to obtain the certified quality and security “EHSF” label of the Basque Surfing Federation.
We cater to all levels and age groups, from beginners through to advanced. We offer a diverse range of activities including apnea training, yoga and pilates.
Our main goal is for our students to gain knowledge and respect for the sea, surf, and surrounding environment as well as ensuring behaviour both inside and outside of the water is civilized and students’ experiences are enjoyable.
